The Port of Rotterdam Authority is pleased to present a brochure containing a wealth of information about the port of Rotterdam’s industrial cluster.
The eighth edition of Facts & Figures offers information about developments in the port of Rotterdam between 2009 and 2015. One of the key developments in recent years was the construction of Maasvlakte 2 . This newly reclaimed land provides room for new developments in the chemical, renewable energy, container and distribution sectors.
Major investments
The brochure includes an overview of Rotterdam’s industrial cluster with information about local refineries, chemical plants, tank terminals and pipelines. It also presents information about biomass and wind power and it provides a list with recent major investments made in the port like the realisation of the Gate Terminal at Maasvlakte 1 for LNG imports.
Room for growth
Rotterdam provides room for further growth. The Port Authority will continue to create new opportunities for existing and future industry.
