A golden jubilee in Rotterdam as the port has been Europe's largest container port for 50 years! On 3 May 1966, the MS Fairland arrived in Rotterdam. It was the first time a container ship arrived in Rotterdam. Since then, Rotterdam has been the largest container port of Europe.

Today - 3 May, we are celebrating this on board of the UASC Al Zubura, one of the largest container ships in the world. The ship is moored in front of the Euromax terminal of the ECT, the container transhipment company that was founded after the arrival of the MS Fairland.
